As far as we know, the QR Code campaign was smartly done and aimed at consumers who visit this busy shopping district.
If customers wanted to find out more information about the 27 new designs, all they need is a smartphone and a QR Code scanner.
According to reports, interested customers will be connected to their specifically-designed mobile marketing website where the everyday jewelry lover can initiate emails and calls, view videos, browse through galleries, check out pricing, download wallpapers, etc. What we really like about this marketing campaign is that if you fell in love with a specific design, you can click on a ‘like’ button and it will be instantly displayed on your Facebook page and shared amongst your friends on your profile.
In their press release, it was said that the company hoped that with this creative and technologically-driven marketing effort, they hoped to reach out to a whole new customer base in a very friendly, personal and comfortable way.
QR Code technology is really bringing shopping to a whole new level, morphing the mobile marketing industry and educating consumers at the same time.
For those who are unsure about what a QR Code is, it is a more flexible, interactive and concise barcode system that has been in use in Japan for at least a decade. You need a smart phone and a QR Code reader. The QR Code reader can be downloaded from the internet and then installed into your phone. The camera on the smart phone acts as the scanner whenever you want to scan a QR Code.
