Camden Historical Landmarks Marked By QR Codes
QR Code has been touted as a mystery to some but to others who are into tech stuff, it’s old news.
Because of the exponential number of ways to use it and track it, many small business owners are already delving into it, believing QR Codes to a bridge between the offline and online. Because creating a QR Code is completely free of charge and tracking users and scans is also comparatively more accurate and affordable, QR Code technology has been marked as the ‘in’ thing for this generation.
During a recent seminar for small to medium business owners, some speakers freely recommended using QR Code as a part of marketing strategies. All the business owners needed to do was to find a free QR Code generator and they are on their way to wooing their customers.
‘The sky’s the limit’, says Brian Hodge, the development director for Camden.
I would have to agree with Hodge here and that is not based on bias. There are so many creative ways to use QR Codes in the marketing process because it is not limited to merely printing it out on your business card, leaflets and company profiles. You can print it on buildings, use it for a game, make it colorful to attract attention and also create a kind of curiosity. Under normal circumstances, marketing strategists would have a hard time trying to make an advertisement or commercial mysterious. With QR Codes, it is almost effortless.
As with the case of Camden, they are trying to use QR Codes for their walking tours by putting up QR Codes on cultural and historical landmarks so that curious by-passers, more importantly, tourists and holiday merry-makers, can learn more about the landmarks. It serves as a marketing strategy and educational tool….which is brilliant. The idea, so far, according to sources, is well-received.
It’s affordable, free and interesting, there seems to be nothing stopping these small business owners from using them in all of their marketing plans. If you have a smart phone with you, download a free QR Code reader onto the phone by making a Google search. Then install it. Come back to this website and create your own QR Code over here and then give it a try. I promise you that you will find it interesting too.
