Creative Canine Comics

comics

The Canine Comics‘ kicked off, showcasing more than a hundred years worth of comics, animation and cartoon art produced and created by some of the most renowned cartoonists and artists in the world. This is where you will find information about Huckleberry Hound, if that is up your alley.

The same way artists hope to reach out to art enthusiasts in the fastest and most efficient way possible, it is the organizer’s wish to have the message spread as far and wide as the internet can carry it. And the way to go, they got it figured, is to make use of innovative technology like QR Codes. Need to know further information about a particular famous comic dog? Just pull out your smartphone and scan the QR Code.

The program aims to deliver large amount of info about each piece of artwork without breaking the bank. Before QR Codes were introduced and used, most of these organizers had to spend a huge chunk of their budget on large signage that described in in-depth detail about each exhibit. Printing cost can take up a huge portion of the budget. The organizers recognized the usefulness of QR Code technology and leaped on to the bandwagon in an effort to not only promote the event, but also to save cost.

The executive director or Toonseum (the event) said that the QR Code mobile application will give users a more interactive experience. And we couldn’t agree more with that. Instead of merely viewing it from a third party’s point of view, QR Code gives users the opportunity to dive behind the scene for the comic strips that they were interested in.

Not only will the organizers enjoy large savings from printing, they will also increase profit because it serves a new revenue for them, and it helps promote membership too.

Since this is a kid-friendly event, smartphone users should take the opportunity to share these cartoons with their kids by scanning the QR Codes made available at the venue.

If you have been to the exhibition, please leave a comment and let us (and our readers) know how you liked it.
