Fotolio – Android App For The Avid Photographer
When it comes to mobile technology, let’s admit it. There are times when we sit back and wonder how we survive being completely overwhelmed with the sheer number of things coming at us. First, there are the smartphones and now, tablets. While we are all quite enjoying the speed of how things are coming, it makes sense to take a step back and enjoy the things that we already have right now instead of chasing mindlessly after the things that are about to come. Like work on pictures and organizing them on our devices.
If you are looking for a lightweight image gallery for your phone or tablet, here’s one you might want to check out. It is called Fotolio. The name says it all, doesn’t it. The app lets you store the photos in an organized manner so that when the time comes for you to find them or show it off online, the process is relatively painless.
Fotolio was designed by an advent fan of photography who had trouble finding THE perfect app for all of his photographs, so, what he did was threw the rest down the tech bin and created his very own one and named it Fotolio. The app works amazing on tablets of 7 and 10 inch sizes but we are not sure how well it performs on mobile phones (because of the screen size). If you have used this app on your smartphone or other devices before reading this article, please let us in on the scoop that you have.
The app is pretty basic, honestly speaking, but that was the intention of the creator. Simplicity. The avid photographer got frustrated with what was already in the market because he found it way too much of an overkill and they many things were unnecessary. I would say that the app is great for even the average Joe.
According to the creator, since he was using the Motorola Xoom, it was created for the specific device and did not perform tests on other tablets before releasing it.
If you are already using a tablet, try searching for it in the Android Market, it is available for download completely free of charge.
