Get On The Peace Path With These Apps
Most people we know work with their phones. You either schedule your stuff, organize your checklist, plan ahead of time, assign work to your colleagues or subordinates, update your boss, stay in touch with your client or simply use Dropbox to keep your files together. Better yet, you probably ‘hand out’ your business cards via a QR Code.
There is more to apps and Android or iOS than meets the eye because every other day, there are new apps appearing in the Market or Playstore that can help improve the quality of your everyday lifestyle. And here are a few of my favorite.
There are plenty of Wine apps available for download, either for free or for a minimal amount of money. But if you are not much of a wine person and instead is a whisky lover, try downloading an app called the Whisky Companion. It is available on the Android Playstore.
The Whisky Companion app trial is currently completely free of charge for 7 days which gives you a complete insight into the app, no holds barred. For the seven days, you get the full functionality of the app which shows you the where, what and who of Whisky and an extensive list and guide to some of the world’s best whisky.
From Canada to Germany and from Belgium to Australia….it is all there together with the history, the making, the method, and the recommendations not to mention the collection of pictures to go along with it all.
The great thing is that you not only get to learn about the whisky, the app lets you find out where to find and buy them. And if you have your own distillery, add it to the list! And if you find the app good enough to buy, you can continue enjoying the app for $3.50 (as at the time of publication of this article).
Another app you might find interesting (or boring to some of you – depending on your inclination) would be the Zen Garden app. We all live a exasperatingly stressful lifestyle. Everything has to happen now, now, NOW. What happens is that we need to slow down and we do this by (more often than not) by checking our phones or playing a game on our tablet. Yes, we listen to songs…but chances are, you would be listening to music on your phone with your headset on by logging into an internet radio service…as compared to switching your radio on.
Zen Garden lets you do really mundane things in your own customized Zen garden. The sounds is amazing and it lets you mentally slow things down while the world around you goes on with the buzz. It might sound lame to some of you who might prefer to load up Temple Run to release stress but we strongly believe in doing whatever floats your boat. There is a lite version to the app – download that and try it out to see if it does anything to your stress level.
