How QR Codes Could Help Real Estate Agents and Companies

sold

With Property Wire’s prognosis of a “slow but steady” rebound in the real estate industry, it is time for realtors to step up their game. No longer will real estate agents be confined to mere flyers, business cards, print ads and similar traditional marketing materials, but they could complement these with QR codes as well.

Apartment seekers, prospective homeowners and even commercial real estate buyers can easily scan the codes on your marketing materials and get neighborhood information, comparative housing prices, nearby schools and community information among other things.

Everyone would be able to scan it too, with just about anybody owning a smartphone such as an iPhone, Blackberry, Android or Palm Pre. Scanning these bar codes will never be a problem.

If you have dozens of properties for rent, lease or sale, you can always include a QR code on your brochures, flyers or business cards that would link your recipients to your own Web site, Active Rain account, or Trulia listings. You no longer have to worry about the limitations put forth by traditional media!

You could also place these QR codes at your properties, as a way to provide more information about the property in question, links to other properties and more information about you.

In a recent press release, 365 Connect said that people today rely more on the mobile Internet and associated devices to obtain information. Because of this, the New Orleans technology company said that it is “critical to position its clients’ apartment communities to take advantage of (QR codes)”.

365 Connect also says that an astounding 91% of consumers in the United States own a mobile device, so not tapping into the platform could only make you lose out.

QR codes are now being used in other industries. Isn’t it about time that YOU expand your marketing without having to spend more and get more out of your old time-tested techniques with technology?
