More Minimalist Mobile Apps
As we have mentioned before, having a minimalist design for your mobile app helps you bring to your customers and your market an app that is not only very beautiful to look at and easy to use, but also clutter-free. This makes it very easy for your app users to focus on the functions and features while still giving them a great user experience with regard to your interface.
We have brought to your attention TeuxDeux, Read It Later and Facebook’s App as possible inspiration for minimalist app design. Here are some more.
1. Flickr’s Official App
Flickr brings you beautiful user-contributed photos. If you want to see some great shots on-the-go, they have their official app for that.
The app’s focus is simple: the photographs. What is delightful is that they have managed to keep everything else simple; the title, the contributor, the views count, and other information about the photos are still there, along with comments, but your attention is drawn towards the images themselves.
2. Our Groceries
If you have a hard time keeping up with what you need at home, then download this app. It is great for keeping your grocery list up-to-date and you can have your grocery list with you even if you have to do your groceries at a spur of the moment. You can also share shopping lists with anyone and tick off any item with just one tap.
You can organize your groceries by retailer. You could also organize ingredients used in a recipe.
3. Where To?
If you are out and you do not have an idea of where to go next, then check out this app. Its interface features a wheel-based minimalist design that presents to you the different place categories you could choose from. What’s more, you also get driving instructions, maps, reviews and even share your venue with friends.
