More and more companies are using QR codes in their sales and marketing campaigns. Here are the latest ones to do so.
eShave Uses QR Codes to Sell Its Customized Shaving Kits
eShave has just launched a QR code campaign. The “All a Man Needs” campaign promotes their line of customized shaving products.
eShave has put up eight different posters in various telephone kiosks in Manhattan, New York. Each of the posters has its own QR codes, which, when scanned, takes the user to a unique landing page on the eShave website.
The campaign will run until December 26.
Toys R’ Us Uses QR Codes to Attract More Sales
Toys R’ Us has also recently put up billboards in different transport areas in New York and New Jersey. These billboards serve as the toy company’s virtual store.
Similar to what Tesco did in South Korea, commuters are shown different products with a QR code displayed next to it. If you like a toy, you can scan the QR code and continue to purchase it while waiting for your plane or train to arrive.
The toy company’s virtual stores are found in New York airports and 40 New Jersey transit stations.
This is the first time that Toys R’ Us is using QR codes to let people shop, although they have used QR codes in various marketing campaigns before. They used four QR codes in their “The Great Big Toys R Us Book.” According to the company, the four codes earned tens of thousands of scans.
