QR codes for Professionals
You might think that QR codes are only for businesses and individuals, but that is not the case.
If you are a doctor, lawyer, or even a stock broker, you can use a QR code to promote your business and yourself, which is basically the same thing in your case.
Here are what more forward-looking professionals have done.
1. Eberstein Witherite LLP. The car wreck lawyers over in Dallas TX has come up with a QR code that helps direct potential clients to their law firm on Monticello Avenue.
What they did was to put up a QR code on printed materials and their own website. When scanned, the QR code takes you to their Google Places page, where you can get a map and directions on how to get to their office.
If you get lost along the way, you can scan the code to check out their phone numbers and get directions from a live person. You could also get other information for their pages by checking out their Places page.
2. Michael Silber
Michael Silber is a designer and artist who uses a QR code at the back of his business card. Scanning the code takes you to his Reblis.com website where you are shown his portfolio and a sample of his works.
3. Rodion Kovenkin
Rodion Kovenkin is a photographer. Like Silber, he has a QR code at the back of his business card. Unlike Silber, however, it is a vCard code that allows you to save his contact details directly to your phone. He does include a website URL where you could view his photos.
4. Tom Neal
United Kingdom-based Tom Neal is a film maker, on top of a niftily designed business card where he reiterates his love for making films, he also adds a QR code at the back that takes you to www.tomnealfilm.co.uk. On the site, you could get updates on his works, download his CV and just about anything you’d like to know about Neal.
5. Sharon Kelley-Parrella
Wilmington, MA Re/Max Encore real estate agent Sharon Kelley-Parrella displays a QR code on her property sign. Once you scan on it, you are taken to a mobile site that gives you more information about the property, as well as a virtual tour of the property.
6. Horizons Family Medicine
Medical doctors in Dayton Ohio commissioned a customized QR code that helped would-be patients to choose them over their competitors. The Horizons QR code resolves to a mobile site that featured testimonials from past and current patients praising them about the quality of their service.
