Top QR Code Campaigns for the Second Quarter of 2012 – Part 2

One of the biggest lessons in marketing is to learn from your mistakes so that you could make your next campaigns better. But do you know that you do not necessarily have to make all these mistakes yourself? You can certainly learn from other companies on how to run a successful QR code campaign.

Yesterday, we shared with you the QR code marketing campaigns of Cadillac, Toys R Us and Boston Market.

Coca-Cola

In Spain, Coca-Cola put QR codes on its Coke cans that invited their patrons to visit SmileWorld, the company’s online community or view videos for the UEFA’s Euro 2012.

The company then spread the word using TV commercials and other media to educate customers on how to scan the QR codes and what they could get from scanning them.

Courtyard by Marriott

The Courtyard by Marriott used QR codes in its virtual concierge displays. The displays packed information about local attractions, the weather and news. Guests can save the information to their smartphones by scanning a QR code that is included in the displays.

Jamba Juice

Jamba Juice used QR codes to add more people to their database by offering exclusive offers and discounts. The company allows you a chance to become a Jamba Insider by scanning the codes fill out a form where they are asked to leave their contact information such as e-mail, birthday, zip code, phone number and name. All these information is a great way to be able to contact the Insiders in the future, as well as making sure that they target them right in the subsequent marketing.

Kenneth Cole

Father’s Day at Kenneth Cole was busy, but the sales were not all made in the stores. After the retailer put up QR codes on its print ads, customers were able to shop on their online site. Kenneth Cole created a campaign specific mobile site that allowed people to view their entire watch collection, great gifts for fathers on their day!
