Vendini Brings Mobile Ticketing to Customers
Vendini has recently released Quick Response code ticketing solutions. The company’s use of new mobile capabilities allows customers to purchase tickets with their smartphones. These mobile tickets will give them access to concerts, sport events, and certain other live performances.
Vendini specializes in cloud-based ticketing solutions. Thousands of organizations utilize Vendini’s solutions for event promotion, ticket sales, and box office management of operations. The company’s suite of applications includes a fully integrated marketing system to promote events via email and social networks like Facebook and Twitter.
Vendini will be placing QR codes on print ads, on promotional websites, and on direct mails for customers to scan. Scanning the two-dimensional codes will allow them to conveniently purchase a ticket. A confirmation will then be sent to the customer’s e-mail, and they can just show this confirmation mail on their phones when they arrive at the event venue. They don’t need to print the mail anymore.
According to Vendini CEO and Founder Mark Tacchi, the company’s new release will make it possible for them to take the entire ticketing experience to their patrons’ mobile phones. “However, mobile ticketing is not just a convenience for patrons. It also increases efficiency and revenue for venues,” he explains. “It simplifies ticket purchasing and decreases costs associated with handling paper tickets.”
So far, the new QR code ticketing system has been getting positive customer response, Vendini Executive Vice President Mark Guarnera says. “QR codes make attending events much simpler for the growing number of patrons who use smartphones to help manage their time crunched schedules.”
